As part of the White Ribbon campaign, members of three activist choirs collaborated to stage a fundraiser for the charity, which works with men and boys to end male violence against women.
Canwyr Stryd Bangor, Côr Cochion Caerdydd and Aberystwyth’s Côr Gobaith organised an evening of teaching songs, singalongs, and performance poetry.
The evening began with Anthea Sully, chief executive of White Ribbon, who outlined the White Ribbon Promise ‘to never commit, excuse or remain silent about male violence against women’.
Among the performers, Kitty O’Blitherin delivered her poem ‘Safe’, recounting an escape from male violence using both courage and humour.
Thanking participants, Anthea Sully said: ‘I had the best time. It was a wonderful way to end. I was really inspired by everyone.’
